Notably, GHDC has the highest number of elected Democratic women of color in any state legislative chamber in the nation, underscoring the caucus’s dedication to representation and inclusivity in leadership.
The Georgia House Democratic Caucus (GHDC) is made up of members of the Democratic Party of Georgia who represent their districts in the Georgia House of Representatives. The caucus meets regularly to set the legislative agenda and elect party leadership within the State House.
The GHDC is a passionate group of leaders working on the ground every day to flip the State House and secure a blue Georgia. African-Americans, young people, and diverse communities of color make up the coalition that will win Georgia, and our Caucus membership represents the rising political power of this new American electorate. Currently, the Georgia House of Representatives includes the most elected Democratic women of color of any state legislative chamber in America.
